I went to Murphy's last night (2012/Jan23) and had a great overall experience. My meal was awesome and I received superlative service.

I came into the club looking for a quick bite to eat before going and shooting pool with buddies. After looking over the menu I couldn't find The Cuban sandwhich and had decided on a burger instead. After placing my order with the barkeep I hunkered to reading my magazine while I waited.

Jack, the owner/ bar manager, came over and struck up a conversation. He took interest in who I was. Knew the the company for which I work. And apologized that I couldn't find my sandwich. He then proceeded to correct my order with the kitchen.

You couldn't ask for better service.
I'll come back and bring my friends with me.

I don't know about the previous person experience but to be clear it is an American-Irish bar. Not an Irish themed bar.
1. unfortunately Lady Gaga an American and if you walk inside the bar you will get music of today not some old Irish tune.
2. $6.00 is a reasonable price. In Dublin in certain area you can spend $6.25 for a pint of Guinness
3. Don't know about the fish I treat the bar as a bar type food and beer not a fancy place for top of the line fish cuisine.
4. Most places that are a bar you seat yourself. getting silverware and stuff i will say is bad but when I have been there asking a waitress will get you what you need.

I would recommend this place to anyone that wants a beer, watch sports , and get good food. If you looking for a place as a an outback, fridays , etc than you best go to the chain restaurants for a hostess. Bartenders are nice, the manager is nice and the wait staff try there best but at times it can be busy.

1. Do not play Lady Gaga at an Irish pub.
2. Do not charge $6 for a pint of Guinness.
3. Do not use Gordon's for your fish and chips.
4. Do not make patrons seat themselves and get their own silverware.
Overall: Poor food, poor service, poor atmosphere, no culture.

The review below is absolutely ridiculous, but I guess that can happen on the internet when people do not have to be accountable for what they write on here. How can the food be given a 1 star, when you didn't even eat?

Murphy's is a fantastic place for any occasion. It's a great place to meet up with a group of people for drinks, and appetizers, it's a great place to take the kids and family for dinner, and it's also a great place to come in, sit at the bar, and really tie one on!

All of the food to my knowledge is all prepared fresh, nothing frozen. The drinks are very tasty, and the prices are very competitive and affordable. On most nights, it's regulars who all know each other, and the wait staff is very friendly. You never have to wait too long for food or a drink, regardless if it is busy or not, the staff always seems willing to help each other out.

Not a whole lot bad you can say about this place. Great atmosphere, great place to watch a game, eat dinner or have some drinks. I'd recommend this place to anyone.

And how can I forget the happy hour? Hard to beat those specials!!

Have been to Murphy's a few times and saw some previous reviews which might have been a bit too critical, so I decided to share my opinion. The service I received was typical of any restaurant; nothing special and nothing horrible. Our servers were friendly and did their job as well as anyone working in a bar and grill should do. The food was good and have no complaints on quality or length of preparation. I would recommend Murphy's to anyone looking to have a relaxed food/drink experience. Their bar is awesome also!

I'm sure the food and beer might have been ok but the serivce was HORRIBLE!!! We could not even get a waiter/waitress to come to our booth!

I seriously have never had such bad service as I had here. There were 4 of us that went for happy hour on a Friday - we sat ourselves at our booth and quite honestly the 2 servers we could find would not ever make eye contact with us. We finally went to the bar for the 1st ,...and 2nd ...and 3rd rounds.... for the 4th round I asked if maybe they could serve us and they said they'd send someone over, but never did. Too bad as we would have bouth food and would have tiipped well, but they never showed up. Not only will we never return, we will also tell everyone we know not to go there....Most bizarre place evern
