1. Chocolate cherry

Where: Haiku, 1315 31st St.

Haiku has a number of chocolate-themed drinks, like the chocolate tini and chocolate covered pretzel. It’s the chocolate cherry that has just the right mix of chocolate — via Pinnacle chocolate whipped vodka — plus fruitiness, thanks to Svedka cherry vodka. Cream gives it a bit of body, and a cherry garnish helps fill out the flavor. $7.

2. Strawberry bitch

Where: Americana, 1312 Locust St.

It’s sweet, but as the name implies it’s not too sweet. The drink contains New Amsterdam gin, prosecco, simple syrup, strawberry cordial and fresh squeezed lemon juice to add a bit of tartness, and it is garnished with half a strawberry. $8.

3. Peppermint patty

Where: Drake Diner, 1111 25th St.

The Drake Diner has a number of spiked hot chocolate drinks on the menu, like the peppermint patty. It’s straight up hot chocolate with peppermint schnapps added. Nothing too complicated, just chocolate and some wonderful mint flavor. $6.49.
