If you haven’t stopped by Exile Brewing yet, you’re long overdue. The downtown brewery has introduced three beers since opening about two months ago. The latest, Ruthie, is a delicious and smooth treat.
The beer: Meet Ruthie. She’s a caramel-colored brew that’s easy on the eyes and the palate, and is just as enticing on a Tuesday after work as she is on a Saturday night. She’s smooth, a little hoppy, but easy to drink and full-flavored.
How it’s served: Ruthie is brewed right at Exile and served on tap, cold. Enjoy her in a curved pint glass or a half liter — in either, she’ll arrive perfectly poured with an inch of thick, foamy head on top of her amber body.
How to drink it: Ruthie is a fun gal, and should be enjoyed with a booth full of friends or with a best bud, bellied up at the bar. Don’t drown your sorrows in Ruthie — she doesn’t want to hear it.
Try it: Ruthie, $5 for a pint, $6 for a half liter
Find it: Exile Brewing Company, 1514 Walnut St.
