Two Drinks: Graze

The look: Graze is both a bar and a restaurant, though its look is more sleek, late-night hangout than over-decorated theme restaurant. Walls are rich reds and purples, with black accents throughout the space, and red pendant lights that stand out fpr the moody ambience. The U-shaped bar occupies the middle of the space, with a few bar-height tables near the entrance. The rest is filled with round, high-backed booths.

The crowd: The crowd was pretty sparse the Monday we stopped in, but young overall. A 20something couple stopped in for a bite at the bar and group of 20something ladies enjoyed dinner together in a booth that was almost throne-like.

The two drinks: Martinis are the specialty here. Everything from the standard vodka to the exotic passionfruit. After chatting with us about what we like, bartender Patrick Baker, 23, suggested one of their newest, the What's Up Doc? In honor of Bugs Bunny's birthday, the Graze staff whipped up this concoction with Captain Morgan, cream de coconut and pineapple and carrot juices. The look was like carrots fresh out of the juicer, but the taste was pleasantly tropical.

The second martini was pomegranate, one of their most popular flavors. The mix of Three Olives Pomegranate, Pama, sour mix and cranberry juice was fresh and fruity. Though this particular martini doesn't usually come with it, Baker added a touch of dry ice for a bubbling effect. During martini hour (2-6 p.m. Monday through Saturday, 10 p.m.-midnight Friday and Saturday, and all day Wednesday), enjoy nearly 30 martinis for only $5 each, including a selection of sparkling and bubbling martinis.

The grub: Graze has a full menu, including their specialty chicken lips - breaded chicken strips tossed in a tangy wing sauce. There's also a few "grazing" combinations, which are a selection of appetizers served for a group to share.

The verdict: If you're thirsty for a martini, this is the place to go. It's also fun place to start a night out with a group of friends.
