Great bar if you're not a regular.

Miss Kitty's is a bar/club that by the looks of it from the outside (and just by the name), you would think does only country music. On the contrary. Not only does Miss Kitty's play a lot of country music, they also mix it up every Friday and Saturday night with music from today, as well as decades past (AC/DC, ABBA, Bon Jovi, etc.). The music is run by two DJ's, Kevin and Shawn-T (yes, from the radio). Expect a lot of fun, especially during special events (Halloween, "prom night," and more). The staff is usually very polite and welcoming. Drink prices are very reasonable. Cover charge is cheap, unless you have a VIP card, which allows you to get in for free. That's about it for the positives. On the down side, the music is usually repetitive (especially if Shawn-T is in the DJ booth) so some songs you will hear 4-5 times in one night. Sometimes within minutes of each other. There seems to be problems with requesting songs, especially if you are a regular that one of the DJ's isn't fond of, to the point that the only way you can get a song is if you buy someone a drink in exchange to get them to request it for you. Much like most anyplace, there are a lot of people who when drunk enough, will not leave you alone or will dance on you when you don't want them to. If someone does bother you, don't bother asking most of the bouncers or management, as they will just blow it off, even if you have been hit, shoved, or physically bothered. If you raise a fuss over it, they will ask YOU to leave, as opposed to fixing the problem the right way. Despite all of this, if you like the bar enough, I wouldn't recommend becoming an official regular. New people seem to get better treatment than most regulars, and they have trouble keeping people to stay because of things like this. All in all, the bar itself is great fun, but problems behind the scenes is the only thing that really keeps this from being the best bar in town. I recommend it, but only on a limited basis.

The two times i've been to Miss Kitty's i've had a blast - loud and wide ranging music and an interesting people watching spot. After spending money on their cover and drinks - approaching the bar for a glass of water can be dissapointing. Any bar that only has bottled water will lose my future business.

I have never not had a great time here. I love country music and at first it was hard to convince my non-country loving friends to go there. Once they got there and realized it's not just "a country bar" they had a blast. The place suites everyone. The bar is big enough to give the "big city" feel while not suffocating you. I love this place!
