Styled like an authentic German beir hall, Hessen Haus features a large assortment of draft and bottled brews from Germany (along with a few domestics). One of the largest selections of Germany and Europe beers in Iowa. the Hessen haus also has very customer service. Hessen Haus is the home base for the annual Oktoberfest celebration downtown. The bar is known for "the boot," a giant glass footwear that comes filled with beer. You need to have a group of four to order one, and make sure to follow the rules while playing.
