Tally's has all-you-can-eat ribs Mondays and Tuesdays. We went on a Tuesday night, and I couldn't even finish the full rack. I tried, really. Always great food.

I've been to Tally's a few times and it has to be one of my favorites in Des Moines. The rooftop is so cool and a good place to have a happy hour drink. The food is delicious - try the tenderloing if you're going for a sandwich. Also tried the Salmon and it was great. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone - it has a wide variety of foods, which all have been great in my opinion.

Went to Tallys for the first time on an wondeful August night. We were able find a gable on the roof and it was magnificent! The busy street added a wonderful urban background to our dining experience. Other people around greatly appreciated this setting as well.
Food was good but sadly poor service marred the evening. My wife received the wrong foodndue to the server's mistake, which was corrected but the whole timeframe seemed abnormally long. Two tables next to us had turned over twice before we were finally finished. Funny thing was, the other tables didnt seem rushed and thankfully we had no firm plans to go anywhere afterwards.
Despite the service, this place cetainly deserves another shot. We will happily return before winter to enjoy this atmosphere and food. God willing the service will match the rest of the experience next time.

we rode our bikes to b&b's on a monday, to find out it changed to Tallys, the change is an upgrade! also discovered half off appetizers on mondays! we got the oyster appetizer. it was great! sat on rooftop with a couple of beers, and ate oysters. i would put the quality and taste of the oysters up there with Django & Splash.

Thank goodness this place is open! I have been there once with a date and once with my kids and both visits were excellent! The Chicken Canneloni is amazing and my daughter's Fettucine Alfredo was sooo good- not your thick, bagged kind; the real stuff, but not too heavy. My son's buger was HUGE and a perfect medium. The night with my date was romantic and fun with a great bottle of wine that didn't break the bank. The service was attentive and helpful (and no crabby owner). I hope folks support this local Beaverdale haunt...we need it!
