We tried two bottled options on our visit to this Court Ave-area establishment, which claims to be the home of the biggest selection of American micro-brews in the world.
Our only lager of the night, Milwaukee-based Lakefront Brewery’s Pumpkin Lager was characteristically clear and clean-tasting — fresh and spicy, with flavors of nutmeg, cinnamon, and cloves. One was great; two might have been too much.
Colorado-based Tommyknocker Brewery’s Small Patch Pumpkin Harvest Ale was deep and heavy-bodied. Think molasses with a touch of spiciness but little pumpkin flavor. Not that anyone was complaining.
