The Queen's favorite animal: The majestic horse
This year's Royal Windsor Horse Show was greatly expanded to mark the queen's Diamond Jubilee celebrating her 60 years on the throne. The queen, a famously knowledgeable horsewoman who breeds, raises, races and rides horses, often wanders quietly around the Windsor Castle "back garden" during the show, observing the proceedings. This year, she and husband Prince Philip will be present on Sunday for the final performances of the Diamond Jubilee equestrian pageant.
