Fresh View: Putting on a musical
Go back in time (in spirit anyway) to 1985 with some behind-the-scenes action of "The Wedding Singer," a musical currently being produced by the Des Moines Playhouse. Being a cast member, I couldn't pass up the chance to show what goes on backstage during rehearsals and performances. Here, cast member Katie Dorrell hides behind a giant glitterly 1985 scenic element that will be hung above the stage.
