For the DWTS heavyweight championship of the world — introducing first: Fighting out of the Welsh corner, an all-arounder, tango-smasher, paso princess and jive killer …Katherine 'The Welsh Wiggler' Jenkins!"
And she's ready to go to war!
I can't believe it's finals week. It seems like yesterday when I was in London, meeting Katherine for the first time. Thank you, thank you — all of you — for believing and voting for us. We are truly performing for you.
Last Tuesday had us a little nervous, but now that we are here, we are dedicating these final performances to all of our beautiful fans. Katherine and I are so grateful that America voted for us to be here and, hopefully, we will bring home the Mirror Ball Trophy.
This week, I've tripled the pressure with three important dances, including the epic freestyle. As you can imagine, it's my goal every season to take my partner to the finals, but each time I've been there, I've felt more pumped because it means I get to choreograph the freestyle.
I feel as if the freestyle should reflect on all the things a celebrity partner has learned throughout this process, and more. I want to show the judges — and the amazing fans — how versatile and flexible Katherine can be, and that she is the best all-around dancer left in the competition.
We are working extra hard this week. We've added two hours to our daily rehearsals, putting in eight to 10 hours at the studio. It's my expectation we will be harder, better, faster and stronger for all of you tonight. This is going to be an awesome final, and I'm sure all three couples are going to really bring it.
Once again, I want to thank all of you for your votes and love. I am so grateful to have such amazing supporters, and I continue to do this show because of all of you fans. And I can't wait for Katherine and I to be let out of our cage. Let's get ready to rumble!
