Think Like a Man thought like a spoiler this weekend, dethroning The Hunger Games after a month at the No. 1 perch.

Man, an adaptation of Steve Harvey's self-help book, scored $33 million, according to studio estimates from Hollywood.com.

The debut was more than twice what analysts expected. According to Rottentomatoes.com, 49% of critics liked it, though 86% of audiences gave it a thumbs up.

The haul was plenty enough to take the top spot, ahead of the Nicholas Sparks adaptation The Lucky One, which also bested predictions with $22.8 million and second place.

Games dropped to third place after four consecutive weeks at No. 1. The film did $14.5 million, lifting its overall revenues to $356.9 million.

The documentary Chimpanzee took fourth place with a strong $10.2 million, followed by The Three Stooges with $9.2 million.

Final figures are expected Monday.
