Steven Tyler leaves 'American Idol'

American Idol was a nice gig while Aerosmith was lying low, but now that there's a new album coming in November, frontman Steven Tyler's going back to his day job.

Fox announced Thursday afternoon that Tyler, a judge for Idol's 10th and 11th seasons, is leaving the show.
