Demon: Ron Perlman, “Hellboy”

Hellboy’s the do-gooder demon, raised since infancy by humans and siding with them in an ongoing war against dark forces. Perlman plays Hellboy as an Armageddon warrior living the dream. He wags his tail and chomps on cigars, a towering red hulk of a monster with an oversized fist—perfect for smashing—and a determination to take his life on a nobler, more earnest path. He falls in love with a human fireball, and they sure seem like a match made in hell.
