When we last saw Pete: When the partners were forced to put up a substantial sum to keep SCDP open, the new father was feeling the financial pressure -- especially since wife Trudy had her heart set on buying a house. Don threw Pete a lifeline, paying his share.
Kartheiser on where Pete is headed: "He has a wife who supports him and wants him to be ambitious and business-wise, is very good for him. She is a sounding board for him at the end of the night. Don Draper never let Betty into that world. Pete does. It allows him to be more mature at the office because he doesn’t need that outlet anymore. He doesn’t need to whine so much anymore."
