Edie Falco: Lead actress, comedy
Four-time Emmy winner Edie Falco, nominated for lead comedy actress in Showtime's Nurse Jackie says yes, she's still overjoyed by her recognition this time around. "Every year is different. The show feels different. It has never gotten old. It's an absolute thrill," she says.
Falco is on vacation with her kids, Anderson and Macy. "That's what I am doing. I'm in my bathing suit as we speak. I'm at the beach with my kids. It's so nice. What a luxury," she says.
And tonight, she's not doing too anything wild or crazy. "I'm actually in the middle of renovating a house. I'm picking tiles. That's a tremendously exciting part of my life right now. Back to life. It's thrilling and exciting but I'm back in my real life," she says of her Emmy nomination.
The show goes back into production in September and Falco has no idea what's in store for her drug-addled character. "Every year, they offer to tell me and I don’t want to know. I prefer to just get the scripts right before we shoot them. I know what I need to know," she says. -- Freydkin
