Just because her hubby, Nicolas Sarkozy, 57, is out of office as the French head of state after Sunday's election defeat, doesn't mean we won't be seeing any less of model/singer Carla Bruni-Sarkozy, 44.

She hopes.

Veronique Rampazza, spokeswoman for the Sarkozy's wife, tells the Telegraph that Carla did not put her career on hold" during Sarkozy's five years in office. "She continues to compose. What she gave up for practical reasons was her public concerts, which she is now able to start again."

Bruni-Sarkozy has a recording studio in her Paris townhouse and plans to release an album in time for Christmas. In the meantime, they've both got time for 7-month-old baby daughter, Giulia.
