Q: The show is an after-party for your wedding. Why do this ?
I’ve been to a few weddings and mostly they go the same way: The couple comes in, everyone hangs out for a bit and by 9 p.m. the older folks want to go to bed while the younger people want to stay up and party. I decided to have a party for the younger crowd while doing something I really enjoy on a day I think is special.
Q: Have you decided on a song for your first dance?
I think it’s going to be “Into Your Arms” by Nick Cave.
Q: Your are re-releasing your album, “Corporate Dynamite,” on vinyl this fall. What made you want to revisit it on vinyl?
It makes for a cool little retro collector piece. There’s something about the sound on vinyl that you can’t really replicate on CD or digital download.
Q: The band has posted about working on some new songs on Facebook. When will fans hear them?
We performed one at our show last week. They’re a little more technically complicated. We’re planning to do a concept album based off of old religions and mythologies, tying into what’s happening in modern times. It’s a bit of a challenge to write, but fun so far. We’re shooting to record in the winter for a release next spring.
