Samantha Knight is a DJ for KAZR 103.3 FM, on air 7 p.m.-midnight Monday through Friday.

First album: "Working Class Dog" by Rick Springfield. "I still have it at my parents' house. I was a huge fan of Rick Springfield. I was totally in love with him."

Upcoming show she's most looking forward to: Breaking Benjamin (Dec. 8 at the Val Air Ballroom). "They always do a really good show when they're here. What they're doing on stage isn't fancy, but they always put on an amazing show."

What needs to happen in music: The death of labeling bands. "Every time a band comes out, they have to be categorized. All these different bands have to fall in a certain category. Why can't a band just be?"

Coolest thing she's gotten to do because of her job: "The fact that I got to spend three years as the first color commentator for the AHL (Chops and Stars). I absolutely love hockey and I dearly miss those teams. I'm going through serious withdrawal right now."

Covered in ink: Knight has around 30 tattoos, including tattoos of Life of Agony, Biohazard, Disturbed, Static X and Godsmack. "I know most people would mock me for that, but I've never put a tattoo on my body I didn't thoroughly think about first."

A song she's embarrassed to admit she likes: "Bringing Sexy Back" by Justin Timberlake. "For some reason Justin Timberlake makes me giggle."
