Aaron Sinwell, 28, will perform at Petapalooza, a fundraiser for The Animal Rescue League of Iowa, at 6 p.m. Friday at the House of Bricks, 525 E. Grand Ave.
Q: You play solo, as well as with the band 4010. How do the type of shows you do differ?
Vastly. There are a few songs I do acoustic that I’ll also play with the band, but obviously it’s much different with the full band. When I’m playing with 4010 it’s mostly music I’ve written with them, and I’m just doing vocals, whereas I play acoustic guitar when I’m solo. 4010 will be playing Petapalooza with me; I’ll do two or three songs solo, then bring the band up.
Q: What was it that made you perform for the first time?
I’ve always loved music and had it around me growing up. I always enjoyed being on stage; before I played music I acted in plays in high school. So the stage aspect was always big for me.
Q: Do you have a pet?
I currently do not. They’re not allowed where I live. I’ve had many pets in the past, and I have many friends with pets and enjoy their company.
