80/35 adds hip hop with Blackalicious, BBU, YelaWolf and more
The 80/35 Music Festival announced 13 new bands today, including hip hop acts Blackalicious, YelaWolf, BBU and local group DCM, indie pop group Gold Motel, New Orleans duo Generationals, art collective NewVillager, folk act Cory Chisel and "DanceGrass" act Whitewater Ramble, along with Iowa bands The Envy Corps, Brother Trucker, Cashes Rivers and Mr. Baber's Neighbors.
Tickets are $35 per day of $60 for both days at Midwestix.
Also, one local act will be selected via a play-in concert. Wednesday through June 6 fans can nominate bands via Wellmark's Facebook page. June 8-13 those bands will be voted on, with the top 5 competing in a play-in concert June 16 at People's Court.
