'American Idol' winner Cook at Simon Estes

David Cook, who won American Idol in 2008, performs at the Simon Estes Amphitheater July 16. During his time on the show Cook performed songs by The Beatles, Edwin McCain and Aerosmith. His first single, "The Time of My Life," has been a top 10 hit.

Tickets for the show are $30 and go on sale June 12 through Iowatix.

It's feeling like the summer of American Idol. First season winner Kelly Clarkson is at the Iowa State Fair in August and Amanda Overmyer from Cook's season plays People's Court June 19.
