Arlo Guthrie headlines 2013 Live at the Temple series
"Alice's Restaurant" (or "Alice's Restaurant Massacree" if you want to get technical) folk singer Arlo Guthrie will headline the 2013 Live at the Temple Series, performing March 27 at the Temple for Performing Arts.
The show is part of Guthrie's "Here Comes The Kid" tour, paying tribute to his father Woody Guthrie. Based on the setlist of a show last week, the tour is heavy on Woody covers.
Also part of the series will be:
Susan Werner (Jan. 19): An Iowa-born singer-songwriter.
Vusi Mahlasela (Feb. 14): South Africanan singer.
Kyle Eastwood Band (April 8): Jazz quintet, and the second offspring of a famous father in the series.
Hector Del Curto Tango Trio (May 25): Argentinian Bandoneon player.
The Temple Theater only seats 280 people, and there are only 150 season tickets remaining for $180. Individual tickets often go on sale at a later date, but Guthrie is a big enough name that it's possible tickets could sell out before that happens. Seeing him in that intimate of a space is a once in a lifetime opportunity.
