Chris Ranallo, Micah Wagner performing at Oscar pre-parties in Los Angeles

Chris Ranallo and Micah Wagner of the band Decoy will be playing Oscar events Friday and Saturday in Los Angeles. But if you're in the area, you probably can't attend. The shows are for Oscar gifting suites, where celebrities show up to get awesome stuff for free. Surprisingly, those kind of things aren't open to the public.

At one of the shows they'll be performing on a bill with former Guns N Roses drummer Matt Sorum. The gigs were set up by Des Moines native and publicist Amanda Comito, who had previously worked with charitable organizations involved with gifting suites.

Hopefully Chris and Micah have cameras with them.
