David and Annie both have severe bee allergies.

David Byrne & St. Vincent have announced their summer tour dates, including a July 5 stop at the 80/35 Music Festival. It seems like someone might have jumped the gun, since 80/35 isn't planning on announcing any acts until April.

I reached out to Jill Haverkamp with the Des Moines Music Coalition and got this response:

"Interesting rumors floating around. We're not confirming or denying anything until our lineup announcement on April 9."

Early bird tickets will go on sale to DMMC members March 29 and to the general public April 1.

Byrne and St. Vincent (real name Annie Clark) released a collaborative album together last summer, "Love This Giant." In live shows their sets have been consisting of a mix of Talking Heads and Byrne solo material, St. Vincent songs and selections from the new album.

Byrne played the Des Moines Civic Center with the early 80s with The Talking Heads.  In 2007 St. Vincent played two shows at the Maintenance Shop within a month of each other, one opening for John Vanderslice, the other for Midlake. That was three months before her debut album, "Marry Me," was released. Obviously, she's climbed the music food chain quite a bit since then.

If you can't wait until July, The Talking Heads tribute act This Must Be The Band plays Vaudeville Mews on April 4.
