Jackson Browne coming to the Civic Center

The Pretender himself, Jackson Browne, will return to Des Moines June 25 for a show at the Civic Center of Greater Des Moines. Browne is best known for hits like "These Days," "Running On Empty," "Rosie" and, oh yeah, "The Pretender."

The show is a part of Browne's 2013 Acoustic Tour, with the singer-songwriter performing songs from his entire body of work.

Sara Watkins of Nickel Creek will open the show. Watkins performed at 80/35 in 2010.

Tickets are $41-$66 and go on sale Friday through Ticketmaster.
