James Taylor at the Civic Center

James Taylor has announced his 2011 tour dates, including a March 2 show at the Civic Center of Des Moines. Taylor also made a stop at the Civic Center in May of 2009.

Tickets are $65-$85 and go on sale Dec. 3 through Ticketmaster.

An interesting angle to this show is the fact that the opening act is Ben Taylor, marking the first time James Taylor has toured with his son (Carly Simon is his mom). Ben played Des Moines two years ago in support of his album "The Legend of Kung Folk." The younger Taylor has a new album, "Listening," due out sometime soon.
