Lisa Marie Presley coming to Wooly's

She's the daughter of the King of Rock and the ex-wife of the King of Pop and on June 18 she'll be performing at Wooly's, 504 E. Locust St. Lisa Marie Presley, who last played Des Moines at the Iowa State Fair Grandstand in 2003, is returning to Des Moines for a more intimate show.

The last time she was here Presley was touring in support of her pop album "To Whom It May Concern." Remember that one? No? Don't worry, she's moved on from that sound and has embraced a rootsier style on her new album, "Storm & Grace." 

The album, which came out earlier this month, was produced by T. Bone Burnett. Burnett is one of those producers whose work with any artist is worth checking out. The fact that Presley worked with him has me eager to check out the new album.
