Loretta Lynn at Hoyt Sherman Place
Loretta Lynn at Hoyt Sherman Place
Sunday we had George Jones in town, and on February 12 we get fellow septuagenarian country star Loretta Lynn when she plays Hoyt Sherman Place.
Lynn's career was launched in 1960 with "I'm a Honky Tonk Girl" and has gone on to include hits like "Coal Miner's Daughter" (which became a movie), "Don't Come Home a-Drinkin' (with Lovin' On Your Mind)" and "The Pill."
Jack White produced Lynn's 2004 comeback, "Van Leer Rose," which included their duet "Portland, Oregon." It's a really good album.
Tickets are $52.50 to $72.50 and go on sale Friday through Ticketmaster.
