johnerobinson, like you can really comment on what I listen to, you don't know me, never once in my post did I say that either of those band were bad, I have respect for both of them. I just think that by bring those 2 bands it is being counter-productive of the true sense of 80-35, new up and coming acts of an indie type(Andrew Bird, perfect example, the guy blew up this year). By the way I am not about hit makers either, most mainstream music I tend to shy away from.....

Rockit, I'll guarantee at least half the bands you listen to currently are about two steps away from being has-beens themselves. Counting Crows and Soul Asylum may not be hit-makers they once were, but they are good bands non-the-less.

i agree. festival resources would be better used on some newer acts.

I would check them on a free stage but please no has-beens, this is suppose to be about indie music, not indie music from the early 90s
