Morrissey postpones Clear Lake date and rest of tour

When Morrissey announced a date in Clear Lake for next week, it seemed too good to be true to many Iowa fans. And it will have to remain that way for a while longer. Morrissey is postponing his entire US tour, and as you might predict he's doing it for sad a reason. But it's also a legitimate one.

Tuesday's show at the Surf Ballroom, along with the rest of Morrissey's tour is postponed so that Morrissey can spend time with his ailing mom. For now the statement is that the shows will be rescheduled. 

I have to thank the biggest Morrissey fan I know, Clint Curtis, for pointing this out to me last night. I know he was sad.
