New metal festival, Sound the Slaughter, coming to Des Moines

A new metal festival, Sound the Slaughter, will be held Sept. 1 at 1235 Thomas Beck Road near Gray's Lake. The acts announced so far are:

Reaping Asmodeia, Amass The Grave, Micawber, The Curse of Hail, Shadow of Indra, Astral Space, They Will Repent, For the Empire, The Impact of Reason, Too Cold for Spiders, Mors, Hours of Decay, Era of the End, Idol of Athena and Dr. Silly's Good Time Fun Band.

OK, I made up that last one.

Tickets are $10 in advance or $15 day of show. It's going to be intense.
