Patrick Fleming of PCC starting new concert series

I spent some time with the boys from Poison Control Center over the weekend (more on that in a few weeks) and Patrick Fleming told me about a new concert series he's starting up at the Des Moines Social Club: "Call and Response... Musical Conversations with Patrick Tape Fleming."

The monthly series will feature one-on-one conversations between Fleming and a fellow musician. They'll talk about their shared influences and perform songs together by those acts. The guests will also perform some of their own material.

"Call and Response" will debut Dec. 2 with Christopher the Conquered as the first guest. Iowa Public Radio is taping the first show as a pilot for a potential radio series.
