Rendezvous on Riverview

Brother Trucker and other bands will perform

The Oak Park, Highland Park and Union Park neighborhoods are starting a new weekly concert series tonight, Rendezvous on Riverview.  This post is a bit personal, since I live in Union Park and have really grown to enjoy the area.

Rendevous on Riverview is held at the newly reinvigorated Riverview Nature Island, Sixth Ave. and Corning. The concerts start at 4 p.m. and run until 8 p.m. Each one is free and beer will be sold. Fireworks will follow the July 3 event. The bands scheduled are

June 12: Brother Trucker

June 19: 35 South

June 26: The Blue Band

July 3: Spam
