Seedlings, Lesson7, DOPE Clique, Viva Montessa album release shows

There are several CD release shows by local coming up over the next month or so. So mark these on your calendar.

Seedlings new album, "Why We Grow Old," comes out on Tuesday. You can stream the entire album on the band's Soundcloud site. There's a Seedlings release party next week, though I'm a little hesistant to put the location out there since it's at a band member Ryan Stier's house. If you search for "Seedlings' Release Party" on Facebook, you'll get the details.

Lesson7's self-titled debut album comes out on Aug. 25 and they're celebrating with a release show that night at Wooly's. DJ Flash will open the show.

Local hip hop group The DOPE Clique plays a CD release show Aug. 25 at Vaudeville Mews with Anonymous, Jimmy Hooligan and Nu Depths opening.

Des Moines garage rock band Viva Montesa plays a CD release show for its new album on Sept. 8. The Austin Taft Soundtrack and Resurrection Mary open.
