Slipknot bassist Paul Gray 1972-2010

This morning when I got into work I wasn't expecting to spend most of the day interviewing people about Slipknot bassist Paul Gray being found dead in an Urbandale hotel. You can read the evolving story here. 

I don't know that I ever talked to Paul, if I did it was in the very early days of Slipknot when most of the band hung out at Rocky Horror Picture Show each week. I expect to be writing more about this over the next few days, but talking to some many of his friends and fans today left me with a very vivid picture of someone who was much loved, who I know is missed by a lot of people tonight.
