Squidboy, The Floor Spiders celebrating anniversaries

Local rock band Squidboy has been performing locally for 20 years and is celebrating that with a 20th anniversary show Aug. 17 at Vaudeville Mews. Derek Lambert and the Prairie Fires will open. Admission is $5.

Their debut album, "Milk of Amnesia," will be available digitally for "the first and last time ever" at the show. I might have a copy of that on CD in my attic. That feels like a really weird thing to type.

Local B-Boy group The Floor Spiders are mere youngsters compared to Squidboy, they're only celebrating their 10th anniversary with a show Sept. 16 at the Vaudeville Mews. Aeon Grey, Gadema with Daggers, Asphate, DJ Touchnice and DJ Episode will all perform.
