The Venue/The Exchange taking over former People's location
The Venue/The Exchange taking over former People's location
News about The Nada's New Year's Eve celebration was released today, but attendees might be interested in where it's taking place: The Venue, on the third floor of the Court Center building. This is what will be taking over the space previously occupied by People's.
Tony Rose and his partners are opening two venues in the former People's space. The Venue is an event center, while The Exchange will occupy the space that People's Backstage Bar formerly used.
Rose told me The Exchange will be a cocktail, wine and martini bar with dynamic pricing. That means that prices will fluctuate based on demand. If no one is buying Patron, the price of Patron drinks will drop. If everyone is buying Jack Daniels, the price of drinks made with it will go up.
The New Year's Eve show will be the launch party for the newly renovated venue. Tikly will handle shows for the new spot. I'm going to take a look at The Venue/The Exchange tomorrow, and I'll update with more info once that happens.

I retract my previous statement. I spoke with the partners and they have apologized and are taking care of this right away.

Dynamic pricing? That will last about two weeks and I'll give this place about six months before it closes.
