Train, Adam Lambert and Neon Trees are among the acts that will perform at the first Star 102.5's All-Star Summer Concert July 28 at Water Works Park. Also appearing will be Mat Kearney, Hanson, Green River Ordinance, Ryan Star and the Spazmatics.

Train co-headlined a sold-out show at the Iowa State Fair Grandstand last year with Maroon 5. The band scored big hits in the late 90s/early 2000s including “Meet Virginia” and “Drops of Jupiter.” After a number of quieter years, the band's career was revitalized in 2009 with the hits “Hey Soul Sister” and “Save Me, San Francisco.”

Train's sixth album, “California 37,” came out last month and features the top 10 hit “Drive-By.” Adam Lambert rose to fame as the runner up on the eighth season of “American Idol” and released his second album, “Trespassing,” this week.

Neon Trees had a bit hit with its 2010 song “Animal,” and recently released its second ablum, “Picture Show.” Tickets to the All-Star Summer Concert are $35 and go on sale Saturday through star1025.com.

A special $27 pre-sale price is available for members of the Star 102.5 Email Club until Friday. The All-Star Summer Concert will be held the day before the July 29 Party in the Park, featuring Joan Jett, K.C. and the Sunshine Band and more, also at Water Works Park. That show is being sponsored by 93.3 KIOA. The Des Moines Radio Group owns both Star and KIOA.
