Trouble Lights celebrates "The Endless Prom" with an actual prom
"I don't care if no one will accept our love, dad! She'll convert!"

The Fairfield music duo Trouble Lights celebrates the release of its debut album "The Endless Prom" this week with a release show Thursday night at Charlie Yokes in Ames. But if you can't make it up to Ames, they're offering an exciting alternative in Des Moines.

They'll play a prom-themed release party Sept. 28 at Wooly's. There will be a photo booth, cheesy prom backdrops and due to a chronal mix-up, two Marty McFlys trying to ensure their own birth while keeping a copy of Gray's Sports Almanac out of the hands of Biff Tannen.

That last bit might not be 100% accurate, but Trouble Lights members Adrien Daller and Phillip Rabalais will be appearing at Hill Vintage from 6-7 p.m. before the show offering discounts on vintage prom wear if shoppers buy a copy of "The Endless Prom." Daller will also offer her assistance in picking out an appropriate look.

Leslie Hall's new band, Neon & Nude and DJ Mona Bonez will open the show and and Patrick and Ashley Tape Fleming will be hosting the night.

A king and queen of the prom will be crowned, but if it ends up being Daller and Nate Logsdon or the Flemings you can totally complain that it was rigged. It sounds better than my prom; my date was on crutches.

Admission is $5.
