Two great shows in two days at Vaudeville Mews
Two great shows in two days at Vaudeville Mews
My music blog has been a little slow this week. Let's try to change that.
Mumford's kick off a six week tour at 5 p.m. tonight (Thursday) Vaudeville Mews. It's a co-headlining tour with the Japanese band The Depaysement, who have been described to me as "The Japanese Mumford's." Of course, that description came from Nate Logsdon. I'm sure The Depaysement would rather think of Mumford's as "The American Depaysement."
Anyway, Little Ruckus, Lesbian Poetry and Terror Pigeon Dance Revolt (seriously, check out their website). Admission is $5.
It's also the DMMC's first "Social Music" event, a new monthly series where they try to get people to turn out in big numbers to support local bands.
And on Friday night the Mews features three great female-fronted rock acts. Hunter Valentine, Queen Caveat and the local group Hath No Fury. I believe this is Hath No Fury's first show with its new line-up.
