Willie Nelson coming to the Civic Center

The red headed stranger, Willie Nelson, will return to Des Moines for a May 14 show at the Civic Center of Greater Des Moines. Nelson turns 80 on April 30. 

The concert comes almost exactly a year after the release of Nelson's last album, "Heroes." Nelson last played Des Moines in 2010. If you missed that show, you might not want to pass this one up. The guy is 80, who knows if he'll still be touring at 82 or 83.

Tickets start at $50 and go on sale Jan. 30 through Ticketmaster.
