The once-groundbreaking septet from New Orleans' Treme neighborhood, now celebrating its 35th birthday, signs with a new label, reunites with long-ago producer Scott Billington and reintroduces itself to fans who may have lost track since their last studio album six years ago. All the elements that made this premiere party band what it is — loads of punchy funk, effortless Caribbean melodies, sunny jazz and an exuberant second-line parade medley — combine for a potent and pleasant present.
