Hollywood Burnout
Style: Pop, rock, power pop
Hometown: Des Moines
Members: Josh Sinclair, 31; Nicholas Sinclair, 27; and Seth Hoveland, 26.
Formed: 1998
Bio: After more than a decade as a two-piece, countless national tours, and seven independent releases, brothers Josh and Nicholas Sinclair decided to update their sound, image, and lineup in 2009. The New Year brought with it bassist Seth Hoveland and a brand new name, Hollywood Burnout. Now a rock-solid three-piece power-pop trio, the band is poised to reach even more fans with their exciting performances and super-strong songwriting honed during the past five years of working with top-notch producers and writers back in New York City. The band was previously signed with PlayTyme Records in New York from 2005 to 2009 (owned by Richard Nash, former VP at Elektra Entertainment & current VP of urban promotion at Capitol Music Group). Josh and Nicholas worked with various producers including Kenny Gioia (credits include Mandy Moore, Lee Ann Womack, Ingrid Michaelson, etc.), Jason Corsaro (credits include Soundgarden, Peter Gabriel, Madonna, etc.), and a few other notable industry pros during their five-year stint with PlayTyme. They have also shared the stage with major artists along the way such as A Fine Frenzy, NEEDTOBREATHE, Blind Melon, the Bodeans, Robert Cray, Trick Daddy, Coolio and many more. Whether it’s the years of experience between them, or the promise of what’s to come, Hollywood Burnout is just beginning to heat up. Look for a brand new full-length record in the summer of 2009.
