Wow, looks like I have to try the burgers at B&B Market! Ive never been there and after reading all these comments, see that I need to try it. I dont have any arguments with this competition though! BBops burger are amazing, and there is obviously a reason they won the popular vote! Yes, they are considered fast food, but they are local, not a giant chain or anything. My other burger favorites in town are Francies (they made the finals!) and The library-yum! Im surprised the Library wasnt higher in the rankings-should be!

How a fast food joint ranks in as the best burger in town is beyond me....obviously people with any kind of taste, chose NOT to vote in this competition! Pitiful.....

BBops is ok, but I wouldn't call it the best. I do agree with previous posters that B&B's burgers are great!!! I've never tried their quadzilla, but really love their double cheeseburger. They're better than BBops.

Gee, where are the taste buds of thise people that think B-Bop's is the best burger. I read this article about a month ago and couldn't wait to try this great burger. Well let me tell you food lovers, this is to me is not a very good burger. I tried this last night and the burger was very dry, the cheese was not melted, it was just warm and by the time I was finished the sandwich was on the cold side. Come on, who judge these burgers bad better get the tast buds checked. I think your insurance coveres that. Just my input and was wondering how others would consider this the Best Burger. Have a Happy Holliday All Marcel

I think Ocean Beach Fries Bar and Grill has the best burger. They were not even in the contest but they would have won hands down. Everyone should give them a try, there is nothing like a great burger and fries and they have both!!!

B-Bops is an excellant burger - but I don't think B & B Deli gets enough credit... East 6th & Hartford is the best place for a burger or sandwich - their fried ravioli is awesome also. Everyone should try it at least once - but then you will keep coming back!!!

I have to say that I think B&B Deli on the southside has the best burgers. They're great. In fact, I think B&B already have the best sandwich in Des Moines. Only fitting that they have the best burger too.

I totally agree that B Bop's rocks. Not only are their burgers great but so are their chicken sandwiches. The reason I love their burgers is cuz they put everything on them & they are overflowing with juicy goodness.

BBOPS is good, but I have never tasted a better burger than the one served at B&B Grocery at E. 6th and Hartford. One bite and nothing else will ever come close to its beefy perfection!

I think the cheeseburger purists have spoken. I'm celebrating with a B-Bops burger. For the price, it's worth it.

Who wants a burger with all that crap on it. Give me beef, cheese, and pickle and call it good.

did you see the vote count? pathetic. With only 150 votes in the past round I don't think this story is even worthy of anyones time.

The best cheeseburgers are at 3 Bag sports bar s on University. The best part is the slightly grilled bun that makes it crunchy on the outside.
