Its location on Fourth Street lends itself to an eclectic crowd. Bookish types, business professionals, stragglers, nerds, theater buffs, musicians, drunks, smokers, old couples, new couples, TMI couples, friends, gossipers, politicians and others have stopped in at least once for a cup of coffee — maybe even a bite to eat and a quick show. It’s probably the only shop with an Irish jam session and a poetry slam in one week.
“I love that they have so many different activities of interest,” Laura Ann Dammarell said. Luckily, the coffee shop is a long, open space perfect for watching that diverse crowd mix and mingle — which is probably more entertaining than what you’re reading or who you’re talking to.
