When blueberry streusel just won’t cut it, My Favorite Muffin may have just what you’re craving. Even if it’s cherry cheesecake, pumpkin spice or deep dish apple pie.

My Favorite Muffin bakes about 20 varieties of muffins daily, ranging from tried-and-true (that blueberry favorite we were talking about) to sinfully decadent (Boston cream pie). They’re perfect for ordering individually, to be enjoyed with a cup of coffee in the restaurant or in your car. They’re also perfect for making you the office favorite, when ordered by the dozen for your next morning meeting.

My Favorite Muffin opens at 6 a.m. during the work week, but we didn’t stop in until 9:30 a.m. The small bakery and restaurant gets pretty busy in the mornings when workers scramble for breakfast before heading to the office.

On the menu is a list of breakfast sandwiches served on a variety of freshly-baked bagels. Bagel sandwich options include eggs and cheese, sausage — or ham, or bacon — and cheese, or mini omelets, folded and served on a bagel.

tried the breakfast B.L.T. sandwich on a sun-dried tomato bagel with a smear of hickory cheddar cream cheese. I loved that the tomato was thickly sliced, and the lettuce was crisp. The hickory cheddar cream cheese, which I chose at the recommendation of the server behind the counter, complemented the bacon and didn’t mask the natural flavors of the veggies.

My dining partner couldn’t resist the muffin case, and selected a few of the mini muffins to sample along with a cup of coffee. There were eight varieties of mini muffins. Among her choices were pumpkin spice, cinnamon streusel and chocolate cheesecake.

The cake-like muffins were a little dense but somehow delicate. Some, like the pumpkin spice, were topped with a dollop of cream cheese frosting that was delicious.

Large muffins also are available, if you already know what you want. The option to buy a few mini muffins made the decision easy.

My Favorite Muffin also makes a slew of salads (Mediterranean, grilled chicken club, chicken Caesar), sandwiches (roast beef, turkey club, turkey and havarti and others) and toasted sandwiches.

If you need a boost, try one of the many espresso beverages. Everything on the menu is under $6, and is prepared in minutes.

If you want a delicious and inexpensive meal, try My Favorite Muffin.
