Two Iowa-born guys own Kin Folks, and they know their smoked meats. Their homage to Texas is a little over the top, but it works. The place is covered with rough wood planking and the walls are plastered with vanity license plates, vintage beer signs, memorabilia from Texas universities and an American flag with a giant-sized face of John Wayne in the middle. Their inexpensive, savory food is served cafeteria-style with your choice of seven homemade side dishes.
