W. E. was very kind to this place

I always give a place a couple of chances. I gave this restaurant three chances. All three visits resulted in dismal food. Even the cocktails couldn't redeem this one. There may be a good use for this place, however. It is a very good example to any aspiring restaurant operator on everything not to do in a restaurant.

Love the lettuce wraps

You can pretty much find a P.F. Changs everywhere. I love the fact that they have a variety of different chinese food-healthy and a bit more indulgent. The lettuce wraps are my very favorite! They are healthy and delicious. The waiter will bring you a cusom made sauce and you can customize to your liking. The noodle dishes are another favorite of mine there, and Ive always been impressed with the quality of their seafood. I travel often for my job and this place is usually a safe bet for a good meal if Im not feeling adventurous.

Great service!

I generally don’t frequent chain restaurants, but I have to admit, I am a PF Chang lover! Their menu is generally the same everywhere-the staple of consistency with most chains, but I am please to say I have always had wonderful service from the staff at this West Des Moines location. I truly think you can judge a restaurant staff by how they treat children. Now, I wouldn’t say that about a fancy steak house-but a restaurant such as this should be family friendly in my opinion. I do not have children yet, but have visited with a few friends that do. I went about a month ago with a family friend and the food was delicious as usual, but the part I would like to note is how our waiter handled a fussy three year old. He brought him “special” chop sticks, showed him how to use them, and searched the kitchen for the last of their chocolate syrup to make him the chocolate milk that he demanded. His parents were thrilled that they were able to avoid a toddler meltdown!

Upscale Chinese

I really like the food offered at PF Changs. They have a pretty large selection of plates to order and the food is great. The dishes are served family style however the size of the entree is enough for one diner. The prices are a little more expensive as compared to a neighborhood chinese restaurant but they are not outragious. As with any Jordon Creek eatery, this place can get very busy on Fridays and Saturdays. Also, I have had a couple of times where the tableside service has been a little slow. Overall, you should make an effort to get here if you like Chinese food.
