While students at Iowa State University in 1999, founders Thomas (T.J.) Paskach and William (Will) Schroeder invented a way to flash-freeze ice cream using liquid nitrogen. A year later, they formed a company and a patent was pending. The rest is history, and their nitro ice cream became a success.
